TNM Staging System Extended is a system for CANCER STAGING.

A classification of the spread of a cancer using extensions to the TNM Staging System classifications published by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).

The acronym TNM relates to the three categories for which codes are recorded, the categories being:

• Tumour (T)
• Node (N)
• Metastasis (M).

The TNM Staging System Extended classifications are used for Pathology results.
