Background:
The Data Elements SNOMED CT EXPRESSION and CODED PROCEDURE AND PROCEDURE STATUS (SNOMED CT) were introduced by DCB0011: Mental Health Services Data Set.
It has been identified that the Format/Length of SNOMED CT EXPRESSION is incorrect.
To resolve this, the NHS Data Model and Dictionary has been updated as follows:
- CODED PROCEDURE AND PROCEDURE STATUS (SNOMED CT):
- The Format/Length has been updated to min an6 max an56 to ensure it aligns with the current Mental Health Services Data Set Technical Output Specification (TOS).
- SNOMED CT EXPRESSION:
- The text has been reworded to make it clear that it is a SNOMED CT item.
The Format/Length of SNOMED CT EXPRESSION will be updated with the correct detail in a future Information Standard.
