Background:
The Unified Information Standard for Protected Characteristics (UISPC) single Information Standard relates to all nine protected characteristics in the Equality Act 2010: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.
There is currently no timescale for when this standard will be completed. This patch adds the following Preparatory Items to the NHS Data Model and Dictionary which will be used as a placeholder in data sets until the Information Standard is introduced:
- Attribute: ETHNIC CATEGORY 2021
- Data Element: ETHNIC CATEGORY 2021
