Intended Smoking Quit Date is a PLANNED ACTIVITY DATE TIME.

Intended Smoking Quit Date is the date set by a PERSON on which they intend to stop smoking.

For PERSONS using bupropion, it is recommended that an Intended Smoking Quit Date is set within the first 2 weeks of therapy, usually in the second week, e.g. day 8.

For PERSONS using varenicline, current license specification and preliminary guidance indicates that an Intended Smoking Quit Date should fall on the 8th day after commencement of dosing with varenicline.

For PERSONS using cytisine, current license specification and guidance indicates that an Intended Smoking Quit Date should be no later than on the 5th day after commencing cytisine.

For PERSONS using nicotine vapes, current guidance indicates that an Intended Smoking Quit Date should be no later than on the 14th day after commencing nicotine vaping, to allow for a period of adjustment, but that 5-10 days would be optimal.

For PERSONS using nicotine replacement therapy, current license specification and guidance indicates that an Intended Smoking Quit Date should be on the day they commence nicotine replacement therapy, or if engaged in pre-loading no later than on the 14th day after commencing nicotine replacement therapy.
